The Erasmus+ training course “Better Together” was held in Bulduri, Latvia from the 2nd to the 10th of March, 2023. The course was financed by Erasmus+ program of the European Union and 44 participants from various European countries participated.
The aim of the training was to provide the participants with knowledge and experience in non-formal education methods and to promote cooperation and networking among youth workers, trainers and educators. The course highlighted the importance of non-formal education and its impact on the personal and professional development of individuals. Through interactive sessions, participants learned about different non-formal education methods and how to apply them in their work.
“Non-formal education plays a vital role in the personal and professional development of individuals and communities. It provides opportunities for learners to develop their skills, knowledge and attitudes beyond the traditional classroom setting,” said the project trainer Endre Kiss. “We hope that this training course will help the participants to enhance their understanding of non-formal education methods and to improve their work in the field of education.”
The training course was held in English and included workshops, group discussions, team-building activities, and visits to local organizations working on non-formal education. Participants also had the opportunity to share their experiences, ideas and best practices with each other, and to develop new projects and initiatives.
“I believe that the Erasmus+ training course helped us learn new skills, exchange experiences, and improve our work as youth workers and trainers,” said one of the participants. “We enjoyed meeting new people, exploring Latvian culture and having a great time together!”
